The high-tech hunt for a pedophile is on story in the news today. The porn videos sent over the Internet had the perpetrator with a digitally altered face and made him unidentifiable…. until it was unscrambled by the police. Unfortunately, since the police do not know the country that this man is from they decided to go public and work with Interpol, opening the possibility that this man may really get his face scrambled by vigilantes or push others to go deeper underground. Either way the police now have some leads on what was a cold case and may eventually lead to stopping this guy and making the practice a little harder to do for others. Bad use of technology is always followed by good use and vise versa. These images made available by Interpol in Paris, Monday Oct. 8, 2007 show an unidentified man after, left, and before the digital manipulation of the image. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away." Henry David Thoreau, Walden, Conclusion, 1854 "Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections but instantly set about remedying them - every day begin the task anew."
