The legend/urban myth I'm choosing to share is about the Swiffer WetJet
and how it's dangerous to pets. I received this email awhile back and
before doing any research got a little worried. I have 3 dogs that I
love dearly, they're my children since I do not have any of those! ;o)
I also use the Swiffer WetJet so of course I was a little freaked out.
Anyway, I googled the first 2-3 sentences and found an article on
Snopes.com (full URL:
http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/swiffer.asp). Much to my
satisfaction I found that this was actually an email hoax going around
and that my pets were not in any danger if they walked across my floor
after using the Swiffer! This myth, along with a few others, was also
on one of the sites given to us in our assignment,
http://www.scambusters.org/microsoftemailbetatest.html.

discontent.

where doing nothing was not boring--it was peace."
