Hello,
In theory with the new version you will not need to do any redirection. 
However I think there may be a few messages which are not sent through the
proper logging API which may still be there. So i would ask, yes use it with
no redirection and report all log/messages which you get printed to the
console then we can try and fix those specific cases.
