I must admit that I'm pretty poor at braille as well, and don't really have much interest in improving in it, but I usually download the brf versions and convert them to txt with NFBTrans. Aside from being a smaller file, and consequently a quicker download, it is a cleaner process and faster as there is only 1 file resulting from the unpack. I also have my system set up to handle brf files by automatically opening them in NFBTrans, translating them to txt, putting them in a specific folder, and then exiting NFBTrans. So when the Bookshare unpack utility asks if I wish to open the unpacked file, I answer Yes, and it performs all the translation operations automatically, and returns me to the unpack utility. Of course there are exceptions, as in the books from O'reilly (spelling) which aren't available in brf, and yes the back translations aren't perfect, but I've never really noticed the translation errors because I guess apparently I'm not that astute.

Er, if I could add my two cents here? Could it possibly be because some of us aren't that proficient in braille? Speaking for myself, I never use the BRF version because my braille skills are horrible.

Different choices for different people. Same reason why we have chocolate, strawberry and vanilla ice cream. Lol.

I'm kind of with Lana. Why download an HTML version of the book? Of course
some maybe can't for some reason use the DAISY version, but I think you get
the ability when you download tools from Bookshare?
