I really recommend reading through the manual, then coming back with any further questions. The BP makes a lot more sense after reading the manual than before and just trying to dive in.

 There is no speaker on the device, so make sure you have the earbuds
 attached and in your ears.

 Just pull the card out if you need to remove it.

 1. How do I put the batteries?  I try, but the machine doesn't say
 ready.
