About all I can add is that you might want to replace the card it came with
once you've purchased a new card with more capacity. You can go up to a Type
I compact flash card with 4Gb.
Depending on your usage, you will likely need one pretty soon.
Good luck! I don't know how I made it without this device!
The card currently contains the Bookport Manual. Unless you wish to use the card with say, a card reader, there is no logical reason to remove it. Once you have installed the Bookport Transfer software to your pc, and you have connected your Bookport to your PC and you know that the Bookport has been successfully recognized by your pc you can send files to the device using the Bookport Transfer Tool.

Yes, right, I forgot to use the earbuds. I don't know how to remove the card. First of all, do I need to remove it? Is this card empty, or does it contain books, or what? Thanks,

There is no speaker on the device, so make sure you have the earbuds attached and in your ears.
Just pull the card out if you need to remove it.

I subscribed to this list some days ago and today I received the bookport. I have 2 questions: 1. How do I put the batteries? I try, but the machine doesn't say ready. 2. How do I remove the flash card?
