You can also get to disk cleanup and disk defragmenter within the Start
Menu, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools. That's running Windows XP.

Scan disk and Disk Defragmenter are found under.
My Computer, highlight, the C. Drive, then go to File, then Properties, and
the second "tab" there is called "Tools". Under that you will see
Check for Errors and Disk Defragmenter.
