This is not correct, at least as far as the beginnings of chapters goes. I have
not yet checked any index items. However, I downloaded the brf version of this
file to my Pac Mate, and the book does indeed have page numbers. Also, the
first three chapters I checked in the Table of Contents do begin on the pages
they should. Chapter 1 is given as starting on page 17. I did a search for page
17 and found that Chapter 1 does begin at the top of page 17. Chapter 2 is
given as beginning on page 52, and it does. The same with Chapter 3 on page 83.

I did a search for a few other random page numbers - 210, 478 and 631, and
found them all.

Looks good, Bob.

Evan

Well, what am I missing. I downloaded the brf version and found no page
numbers. There is no correspondence between the index and page numbers. For
example, I found the first chapter to start in the middle of a page and the
next chapter not to start on the proper page if the first chapter was on the
page it was supposed to start on. What am I missing?

Let me suggest "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" by William Shirer. That's
my validating opus maximus. (If there is such a phrase. It means "pride and
joy").

In that book the page number was at the top of the page on the right side,
and each page had a number.

    Did I miss something?

For all this talk, can someone give the name of one book in the current
collection of over five hundred pages which has all of the page numbers, in the
right places, so that one can use that page number to footnote scholarly
research. I would like to see at least one, because almost all of the books I
put on the system are mangled so that I can't later use them for my work or
research.
