Gary,  as I recall the Bookshare staff is using the latest Omnipage and 
ABBYY recognition products.
Yes,  the engines are newer than the ones in OpenBook and k1K,  but not 
earthshatteringly so.

Tell me more about Bookshare's ability to scan. Do they have any
better luck with older books than we do? What is the software
they use? I assume one just sends them a book, they rip it apart
and scan it, and then put it up for validation?
