It shows that the file has uploaded, but never sends me to the nextpage. I don't usually get anerror message. It just stays on the page. When I did get an error, it told me that the page was unavailable.

I'm having a GOOD time!

Hi Gerald,
I have seen this bug occur running the latest version 10.05. Also, when this bug occurs, the file actually uploads, and then the page returns with an error telling you that the file you uploaded doesn't appear to be a valid RTF.

Also--the progress bar in Internet Explorer is a joke, and is pretty much unreliable.

Good luck with this one gang!

Doesn't look like you have a problem with the file itself then based on the
file size.

What software did you do the validation in? It wasn't K-1000 was it? If
so, have you tried pulling it up in Word, hitting space to modify the file
to allow it to save, backspacing, and saving? I believe that bug has
supposedly been fixed, but perhaps you are using an older version.

I also asked for the RTF file size. It's the difference between the two
that may tell us something. Plus, you also need to take into consideration
how large the file is that the tools are trying to process.

BTW, A 2.5 MB file should probably not take longer than 5 minutes to
upload
on a cable modem as long as you don't have it hooked through one of the
older USB ports, which are slower than the modem.

Mickey,

How large is the file? Alsohow large is the TXT file if you convert it
to
TXT. I've seen some file sizes get out of hand when doing the cleanup,
and
I believe this is the problem with uploading some files. Of course, your
file is going to be much larger than the normal file, so that may not be
it.
Then again, if your file grew by around a factor of 10 like the ones I've
seen, then you'll definitely have a problem uploading this file. One
more
thing, what kind of internet connection are you using? Is it dial-up,
DSL,
cable, or an office/school connection?

Hi. I am on attempt #7 to upload this 2255-page book. I've timed out,
I've
had server errors. I worked on it all last night, and am diligently
trying
this afternoon. I figure that if I say something about it, the gremlins
who
run my computer will depart, and the file will suddenly upload, in the
computer's attempt to make me feel dumb. But it won't work.

Really, what do I do other than upload?

Confused in Columbus,
Mickey
