download 386er-Version from http://packages.ubuntu.com/gutsy/libs/libxss1
mkdir test
sudo dpkg --extract libxss1_1.1.2-1_i386.deb test
cd test/usr/lib
sudo mv libX* /usr/lib32/
And the precompiled dispwin run.

I tested this on my laptop with an ubuntu 64 bit.
Here is the result from making a profile with a self compiled version,
as mentioned in an earlier email.
profile check complete, peak err = 6.443749, avg err = 0.831665
Exectution time = 56.240000 seconds
And the result from the downloaded i386 binary.
profile check complete, peak err = 6.668158, avg err = 0.821331
Exectution time = 65.630000 seconds
As you can see the self compiled version is faster and the other tools
works also, so why not just compile it and skip the lib32 stuff?
