Loosen the needle plate screws and lower the head. Center the needle by moving the plate by hand and tighten the screws when centered. Check your thread feed - high enough? Also check your bobbin. The bobbin thread may have come out of it's case. You may have to loosen the bobbin a bit too. Do the drop test and have it drop 6 inches or so. Compensate tension by lessening the acti feed.
