Your needle plate may have a burr or is not centered properly. Loosen the 
needle plate screws and lower the head. Center the needle by moving the plate 
by hand and tighten the screws when centered. Check your thread feed - high 
enough? Also check your bobbin. The bobbin thread may have come out of it's 
case. You may have to loosen the bobbin a bit too. Do the drop test and have it 
drop 6 inches or so. Compensate tension by lessening the acti feed.
