Use the speed that works! We sew nylon saddle covers with Gold Metallic at 450! its' the only change we can make that produces consistent run times we use a bigger eye needle, Teflon coated, looser bobbin tension and everything else mentioned but the one thing that doesn't seem to be changed is the speed. So if it works go with it. Our rule of Thumb is start pretty low maybe 600 and slowly work the speed up until you find the threshold of where your machine will run without breaks.
