Karen,
 We finished 36 caps and 12 fleece jackets with metallic recently. We found 
that giving  the machine more thread ( 1 or 2 material thickness)  and 
loosening up the bobbin helped quite a bit. We also ran at 1000 spm on the 
fleece.  40 wt. YENMET was our thread choice. It may be the wax paper, due 
to it's coarseness, it may fray the metallic wrap. Try using a water 
soluable topping instead. Hope this helps.
