[amayausers] Metallic Thread!

Good Morning!
I could use some tips about using metallic threads!  I'm putting names on 
crushed velvet Christmas stockings using metallic thread and I've had a lot of 
thread breaks.  I went into setting by color and checked the metallic thread 
setting.  I'm using a fast frame with adhesive back stabilizer, putting wax 
paper 
on top.  What have I missed??
