Yes.  They are.  And it effects so few of their customers, they don't care.
Because the sad but true fact is, they don't want people with 0 balances in
their checking accounts or maxed out credit cards.  And like I said earlier,
if you can't manage to have $1 in your account, you have way bigger issues
than being able to update an app on your phone.    So like you said "welcome
to the real world."  

For the record, is it good customer service?  Of course not.  But, when you
buy a premium product, you often have to deal with stuff like this.  Like
someone mentioned earlier, if you can afford to buy a sports car, your
probably not worrying about the price of gas.
