Billy, I don't have an opinion either way really. It does what I want it to do, so just get on with it because it's what you get on a laptop nowadays unless you have one specifically tailored to your liking. I'm not a fan of any of it really, but work with what's around (smiles.)

Billy, I think JAWS 9.0 and subsequent patches or updates certainly seems to be a bit slower on our XP Home machines, but it's fine with Vista. That's my view from what I've noticed.

It seems to me that JAWS 9.0 is perhaps slower at starting up under XP, but is certainly fine on Vista.

Yeah I also find jaws 9 very slow at start up and I don't have many programs booting up when my pc boots up as I have removed all that in msconfig. I definitely find jfw 9 quite slower than jfw 8.0.
