Billie, I too am holding off with Vista. I simply cannot see that there's enough in upgrading for me, especially as it would mean buying another PC. though I know Window-Eyes will work perfectly with Vista.

This is certainly NOT an anti-Vista statement, more a position of pragmatism. I'm still as pleased with XP with SP3 too.

Cheers,
Ray.

Jackie, this may be so, but I'm holding off with Vista for the moment.
Not too sure at all about Vista. Some folks love it, and others are the opposite,

Billy, I think JAWS 9.0 and subsequent patches or updates certainly seems to be a bit slower on our XP Home machines, but it's fine with Vista. That's my view from what I've noticed.

Jackie, that is certainly true. I'm running xp pro, and Jaws 9 takes forever it seems,

Hi Lyn

It seems to me that JAWS 9.0 is perhaps slower at starting up under XP, but is certainly fine on Vista.

Yeah I also find jaws 9 very slow at start up and I don't have many programs booting up when my pc boots up as I have removed all that in msconfig. I definitely find jfw 9 quite slower than jfw 8.0.
