Hi, check your startup items that make sure that only critical components, like JAWS, your antivirus/antimalware, etc, are loaded. Some of this requires going into the registry, so if you're not confident then don't go any further than your startup group. Some programmes allow you to configure them not to load at startup from within the interface. Hope that helps. Why not join my Blind Hobbyist group? hi guys,
I'm running Jaws 9, and FInd it so slow at startup. It just takes Jaws so long to boot up. I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this with Jaws 9, or could it be the amount of progs loading at startup?.
Do we really need all this stuff loading. I'm using xp pro as my OS,
