Carol window eyes and jaws shoudl read the message status to you 
automatically, replyed to, forwarded, unread, read etc.

Hi,

From the message window, go to Tools and Options and the Read tab.  There's
a check box which will mark messages that are read and you can specify how
long you wait before this is done.  I don't know (without possibly some
scripting) how to get messages that aren't read announced as "unread".
