Andy,
Certainly a pen drive will be easy and quick for transfer, but you may want
to consider networking your computers in the longer term so that you can
transfer files on the fly. I even managed to do it and never thought I'd
succeed . . ..
I tend to agree, though, that if you want to get up and running and anyway
have some storage you can move about, a pen drive (or external hard drive)
will be the way to go.
