Andy.

I've not seen it but I'm guessing that out of the box Media Centre is the
same as XP Home and Pro in it's basic functionality. It has alot more
support for media use, just like XP Pro has more security features and
things like disk space quoataing.

The latter so you can dictate how much space a user on the system can use.

The reason for needing Jaws Pro is because they have to take the same steps
to get Jaws to hook into the system as they do with XP Pro.

Completely ridiculous.

Your case is a classic one that I'm sure Freedom just shrug and say ah well
too.

That's a great idea about having both machines running and that way you can
avoid the frustrations that drive you to the point of wanting to toss the
thing out the window by walking away and back to your older one.

I still use Jaws on my laptop because I find Window Eye's laptop layout
support very very cumbersome.

You can get an external keyboard but that negates portibility IMHO.

Hi Dave.

Already got my WE Tutorials out, for a second time. Perhaps I should be a
bit more patient and do a little each evening. You said that everything was
working fine on your new computer. Is it an XP Home or Media Center Dave.
I ask because it looks like I'll be moving onto Media Center with my new
computer. Learning Media Center alongside WindowEyes is a bit frightening
though.

By the way, you wouldn't have the subscription details for the WindowEyes
List?

Best wishes.
Andy
