Hi Andy,

It is better than you think. Moving to Window-Eyes is only 520 pounds, =
not
602, as you state.

All the best

Hi Jack.

My current screen reader is JAWS 6. It will cost me =A3190 to upgrade =
to JAWS
8, but God knows how much it would be to get JAWS 8 Professional. =
Moving
onto WindowEyes, is I believe, =A3602, so perhaps I'm only talking about =
a
difference of =A3200 or less.

I never purchased JAWS 7. I'd be going from 6 to 8 for almost =A3200.=20
Apparently, so I've been told, that I'm paying for version 7. This is a
rip-off and it has been happening since I was on JAWS 3.5.

As for your last point about the learning curve. I'm 53 years old now =
and
my memory is as highly tuned as one of my hens. I do find retaining
complicated information very difficult these days, perhaps a result of =
all
the beer I take over the weekends. To make matters worse, I'd need also =
to
learn how to use the Windows Media Center. However, I could keep my old
computer for the stuff that I need to do quickly and spend some time =
each
evening on the new computer. - A bright light just went off in my head!

Very best wishes.
Andy
