Well thanks for that Amro. Now Steve has told me I cannot read PDF files but James Scoles has said I can. Now I have to wait to hear what James says again but he knows I have Talks. I would not be reading with vision.

Hi Eleanor, I'm not Steve, but Quick Office isn't accessible with Talks. I don't either know of any other program that is accessible for that purpose unfortunately. So as far as I know the answer to your question is no, you can't read Word docs on your mobile unless you have some useful sight. Sorry to be the bearer of the bad news.Cheers, AmroB----- Original Message ----- From: "Eleanor Burke" <eleanorburke@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, December 07, 2008 7:07 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Adding E-mail To My Contacts in N95But can I not install some programme that will help me to read them Steve? Am I right then, with Talks a VI cannot access any epmail attachments Word or PDF via their mobile phone?Eleanor----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Nutt" <steve@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, December 07, 2008 7:00 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Adding E-mail To My Contacts in N95Hi Eleanor, No, you can't read Word attachments on your phone currently. James Scoles has told me, yhou will have seen from the list, that I should be able to save and open them through Quick Office. Now I might havethe name of the Office wrong but that is because I am not referring toJames's e-mail right now and not familiar enough with Office on the phone togive the exact correct name. I have used it though only once for making anote. I'd really not bother though and just put them on the computer. Sorry I can't be of any help. If I get an e-mail attachment by way of a word document can I open it and read it. I got one but it was reading all sorts of 'rubbish' for want of a better word. I am wonderingif that was because when my niece downloaded the word document she downloaded it from the Internet and maybe it had all the internet language for putting on the web if you see what I mean. Now if I had opened the word document as attachment via my computer rather than themobile, it would have been just fine. Maybe I need another programme putin to my phone to read Word documents. What do you say please? Now go options again and add new detail. This brings up a list which you can choose from. Select email from the list-it is quite a long one, ok that and input the address, pressing key 2 when done. You should by rights be sorted with that now.Any more problams let us know. Also if you need these instructions separated out I can do that too. I also noted Steve's comment re Clive'ssuggestions. Bow I appreciate all 3 of you taking time to assist me. Think is if I set defaults then that too can have its drawbacks in thatI will want to use call, text and e-mail. Where I am having theproblem is that I want to add e-mail addresses. Now that is fine if Ireceive an e-mail from someone I can save their e-mail address (Idiscovered) but for those that have not yet responded which I have not accessed yet through my mobile. I want to add them in and here is wherI get confused. I thought I would go to Edit but that does not allow me to put in an e-mail address. I also have this problem where I havesomeone's mobile and then I get a landline number for them, I cannot put in via Edit either. This ends up with me having them in twice, onece mobile and once landline. I lshould not have to do that. I had no way of checking if it was going to be her mobile ore-mail that would come up because as I say it insisted on Rosie Mobile. When editing a contact, choose edit and then you need to go intooptions again. You can quickly do this by pressing the joystick in.The first option is Add Detail. Select this and you can choose onefrom the list, which is quite long, so arrow down to E-mail. You can add as many details to a contact as you wish. Hope this helps.
