No, you can't read Word attachments on your phone currently.

That's OK Erica I understand exactly what you are saying but I might have an

interest in the odd one especially if I was travelling and had time on my 
hands.  James Scoles has told me, yhou will have seen from the list, that I 
should be able to save and open them through Quick Office.  Now I might have

the name of the Office wrong but that is because I am not referring to 
James's e-mail right now and not familiar enough with Office on the phone to

give the exact correct name.  I have used it though only once for making a 
note.
