Erica
That is excellent, I never thought of looking for Options a second time when
I got to Edit.
What I want to know now Erica is this. If I get an e-mail attachment by way
of a word document can I open it and read it. I got one but it was reading
all sorts of 'rubbish' for want of a better word. I am wondering if that
was because when my niece downloaded the word document she downloaded it
from the Internet and maybe it had all the internet language for putting on
the web if you see what I mean. Now if I had opened the word document as
attachment via my computer rather than the mobile, it would have been just
fine. Maybe I need another programme put in to my phone to read Word
documents. What do you say please?

Eleanor
go to contacts, find the one you want to add email addresses for, then
press options and go down to edit. Now go options again and add new
detail. This brings up a list which you can choose from. Select email from
the list-it is quite a long one, ok that and input the address, pressing
key 2 when done. You should by rights be sorted with that now. Any more
problams let us know.
Also if you need these instructions separated out I can do that too.
Erica.

Well Amro
I am looking at this again. I also noted Steve's comment re Clive's
suggestions. Bow I appreciate all 3 of you taking time to assist me.
Think is if I set defaults then that too can have its drawbacks in that I
will want to use call, text and e-mail. Where I am having the problem
is that I want to add e-mail addresses. Now that is fine if I receive an
e-mail from someone I can save their e-mail address (I discovered) but
for those that have not yet responded which I have not accessed yet
through my mobile. I want to add them in and here is wher I get
confused. I thought I would go to Edit but that does not allow me to put
in an e-mail address. I also have this problem where I have someone's
mobile and then I get a landline number for them, I cannot put in via
Edit either. This ends up with me having them in twice, onece mobile and
once landline. I lshould not have to do that.

Eleanor, go to Contacts, open the contact you need to configure by
selecting it, open the Options menu (key one), arrow down to Defaults,
select it and you can specify what defaults are used for that contact
from there such as phone number, text message number, email address etc.
Cheers,
Amro

Clive I tried this actually and then I went to send an e-mail and for
instance it kept saying Rosie Mobile when I wanted it to say Rosie
E-mail. I had no way of checking if it was going to be her mobile or
e-mail that would come up because as I say it insisted on Rosie Mobile.

Hello Eleanor,
Glad to hear you have e-mail set up on your phone.
When editing a contact, choose edit and then you need to go into
options again. You can quickly do this by pressing the joystick in.
The first option is Add Detail. Select this and you can choose one
from the list, which is quite long, so arrow down to E-mail. You can
add as many details to a contact as you wish.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes,
Clive Pallett
