The penny has just dropped. I have read this again. I see if I set the particular defaults then I will not have to be doing that each time in each different application.

Hi Eleanor,

Amro's method is actually better than Clive's because if you set all your
defaults, then the phone won't ask you. For example, if you set the default for text messaging in Rosie's contact to mobile, the phone won't ask you, it
will just get on with it. Likewise, if you set the Email default to her
Email address, when you send an Email, it just happens.

All the best

Steve

Clive
I have to think about that one. I still want their mobile phone numbers
etc. I am going to think about it though and will get back to you if
necessary.

Hello Eleanor,

I know what is happening here. When you create a contact the first number

field is mobile. What you can do is edit the field labels. Go into a
contact, choose edit from options and go to the field you wish to edit.
Now go into options again and arrow down to Edit Label. You can edit all
your contacts so you know whose mobile number or e-mail address you are
looking for.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes,

Clive pallett
