specific - you can find out your compile switches by:
less /proc/cpuinfo
Aha! So that has nothing to do with my UI-problems.
However - at a guess you may find if you install the raspbian version of
Yosh and then reinstall yours it may solve the flashing problems - on my
Pi3 the raspbian version displays fine.

Yes!! That worked :DI didn't even have to reinstall "my" Yoshimi.After apt-get
installing the Raspbian yoshimi (v1.2.4-1), my version (1.3.9) now works
perfectly.Thanks Tom!!

Looking at that list now I still don't really understand. Is "yoshimi-data" not
supposed to be installed as part of the main install process. How can it be
missing as a dependency? I guess I could probably (maybe) have solved most of
it with the help of Some Search Engine, but instead I decided to try the
"make"-route which had "worked" for me with 1.3.8-2.
Thanks a lot guys!! I'm up and running now with a perfect UI in yoshimi 1.3.9
on the RPi2. Couldn't be happier!
