... I have to make one correction here. I'm not exactly sure if the
showing/saying distinction did emerge before the religious experiences or not.
There is an elementary form of it when he is in Cambridge before the war, but
this really cannot count in good faith (too crude). And I don't want to look
the matter up further because I have work to do today. So let's leave the point
when it appeared as somewhat uncertain.
