Thanks... Thank you very much to all of yours.
When I started this chain, I wanted to know how much money should I ask for
my job, thinking that I was underpaid. Now I know I don't.

How I told yours, I earn almost 18k us dollars a year (140000Bs), This money
is enough to live very well, go out with my girlfriend twice a week to the
best place we can found on this town, pay taxes, private school for my two
kids, money for my former wife and something for my mother.

Actually, this side of the world is very cheap. I invite all my friends once
a month to a bear-barbecue party, and I just need 50us dollars to do it.

BUT!!! The company I work for hires two programmers from USA last year, one
from California and one from Texas. We spend about 100k us dollar a year on
each one.... so, we are being ripped off? Programmers earn more money than
IT managers? They are developing some very simple software that I don't have
enough time to do.

I make an Ok ish £24500 a year - no benefits (no car/health/life insurance
etc) but am not too bothered.
I'm also not an IT manager on paper but deal with ALL I.T and make the
decisions(a nice way to pay me less)
But the jobs great, people are a good laugh and I wouldn't trade for double
my money. I'm left to get on with it with not too much stress and not
expected to stay all night/weekend when things go wrong!

I make more than anyone has so far put forth on this list. But in the NYC,
USA area, a cheap starter house and hour commute away is about $350,000USD !
I don't know how to take a job to be happy when I need to make a lot just to
pay the mortgage, kl

Well, really it all boils down to are you happy? I mean we'd all 'like'
to make more money but there's a tradeoff with flex hours, perks, benefits.
If you know you can make more elsewhere but are happier staying where you
are then that's what counts.
