Hi Fran

This is very similar to the problem that Paul Hudson and I are having. 
There has to be a common factor somewhere.  It doesn't seem to be the 
version of Windows, and none of the suggestions from the Nulsoft forum 
have helped as yet.  These included re-installing, and installing an 
alternative ASPI driver in the Winamp directory.  I'm currently using 
the playback features of CD-DA Extractor to play audio Cds.  I mention 
this only because it behaves flawlessly;  indicating that we have a 
Winamp problem here, even if it only shows up on particular systems.
