Hi Joananne, My laptop is a HP though it may be designed completely different. On my machine there is a row of buttons along the top and the second button fromthe left will toggle the wireless on and off. Jaws usually announces this asit happens. I don't know if this has any relevance to your situation. To answer your questions Darragh: It isn't seeing the network at all and no security key is required to connect to the network. The user tells me that it picks up her wireless router at home. I'm thinking that wireless must be turned off or something as I'm not getting any error messages from vista. Joan Ann. I'm sure there must be some fix for it however. If you have a wireless connectionthatrequires you to connect via a desktop icon then assign a shortcut key tooitif this is what you mean. Again if a special icon exists on the desktop for you to enter on andtypein a user name etc or just simply to open up and then hit enter on aconnectbutton, why not place a copy of that shortcut in the programsmenu/startupfolder.
