OK. Since my fire is fully charged, I mean fully charged! I guess I’ll have to
wait a while until it runs out a bit. I’m not sure what that does for it if you
leave it plugged in and it doesn’t need to be. As you were exploring the new
documentation, did you see anything new with regard to braille? I know you’re
not using it, but I’m just curious.

When looking for updates, and, tapping the update button, I just
waited and listened to the Fire refresh two or three times or when it
stopped. There is always some audio noise when that happens.
Then, I closed settings, and, went back to see if there was another
update button. If not, I closed settings and just waited more, then
looked again. I think you have to have alot of patience with this. In
other words, you can't keep looking over and over one right after
another.
Lastly, I turned off the Fire, and, turned it back on. It didn't go to
the opening page, so, I figured it was updating. And, it did.
Something new here as well. After updating, when you swipe the glass,
there will be a list of the major updates, alot of these being
gestures.

checked several times this evening right in a row one after the other, with
a device not plugged in. It kept saying no update available. So I plugged it
in, even though it really doesn’t need to be charged. And I check for
updates and got the same thing. So I turned off the device and then turn it
back on and checked, same thing. What is your secret? I’m really curious
about all the new changes and also wonder about upgrades to the braille
support. But I guess I can’t know until the update God smiles on my HD
eight.
