Hi Mary. I took a look at the user manual.
There are six braille displays listed as compatible. There are over a
dozen commands listed.
Anything specific you were looking for? It didn't say anything like:
new and super new updates! The text also says to do a two-finger swipe
to get to quick-settings instead of the new three-finger swipe. They
might of just missed that change. Or, the page hasn't changed. Don't
know.

I think also that you will be going through two OS updates. If I am
correct, you have to have the past OS updated before the new one can
be installed. At the date of your last OS update makes me think that.
However, if you currently have OS 5.4 that would not be the case. The
newest OS update skipped 5.5 and jumped to 5.6.
By the way, keep your Fire on overnight, and, the battery should drain
to at least 50%.
