hi kerry. some older models just can't be upgraded to the newest and
bestest os  without killing performance.

i don't think it is just a case of amazon wanting you to upgrade.

to get to my model i figured it just would take time. for my fire,
hopefully it's just around the corner. there have been two upgrades
since i got mine and both were super improvements.

Are they like Apple where they just stop updating older devices after a
while.  Seems strange to me that they would take longer to update more
models.
