Fred Blystone, Tom Armour and I were treated to yet another decent flight
today, April 5th, at College Creek Hawkwatch on a warm (finally) and pleasant
day. There were 9 species and the total was 81, including a near-record 10
Bald Eagles that were high and headed north. Several more Bald Eagles were
milling around. There were 4 Northern Harriers to add to yesterday's 4.
We also regularly see butterflies crossing the river here and the first real
migrant, a Red Admiral, streaked across the river today.
