What's happening here, then, is that it's trying to build against X and still
trying to use the Cocoa dialogs - which doesn't work.
The build scripts are still a bit messy. ;-)
What you can do for just now, if you want an X11 build, is:
./configure --disable-ui
If you wanted to build against SDL (which is a better idea on OS X), then,
sorry, building against SDL on OS X is a bit messed up at the moment and will
probably require some manual intervention. Rather than try to describe how to
do it and confuse both of us in the process, I'll fix that and upload a new
source tarball for you to try. ;-)
Which reminds me - Steve, if you're listening, did you make any progress on
the custom SDLmain.m?
