As I said in an earlier message, the C64 Mini has two USB 2.0 ports but since
USB 3.0 flash drives are backwards compatible, either will do. The only
advantage to getting a 3.0 model is that it will be quicker to write to it on
your PC provided your PC has a USB 3.0 port, natch. As for size, the entire
GameBase64 is less than 1GB and in reality, you’ll probably use a LOT less, so
any size will do.
With that being said, I bought a 32GB flash drive because it was less than $1
more than a 16GB and about $3 more than an 8GB (which was the smallest I could
get in the form factor I wanted.) I figured more storage was better in case
repurpose it someday. <shrug>
I will be bringing a 1GB USB flash drive with the latest firmware on it and if
anyone has a C64 Mini and needs a flash drive, they can have it. I’ll even copy
over any games they might want.
