Yeah, perhaps clarification is in order.
The C64 Mini has two USB 2.0 ports on the side for connectivity and a
single micro USB port on the rear for power.
Thus far, I have been discussing the connectivity ports. If you wish to
use three USB peripherals like the included joystick, a keyboard, and a USB
flash drive, you will require a USB hub. I am using an unpowered hub and it
works but depending on the power usage of the items you plug in, you may
require a powered hub.
The micro USB port on the back power the C64 Mini itself. While a micro
USB to USB cable is included, you will require a AC to USB adaptor like the
ones that come with phones and tablets etc. You’ll also find USB ports on a
lot of power bars these days. If you’re going to use the C64 Mini with just
the included joystick, a 5V/1A power adaptor is fine. If you’re going to be
plugging in additional items, you may need to give it more power (1.5A or
2A should do it.)
I am using an unpowered hub for connectivity and a 5V/2.4A AC to USB
adaptor.
THAT should clarify things. ;)
