Kris, thanks for the welcome greeting. I do not mind answering any
questions I can, just beware, what I know is limited like everyone else, I
do not profess expertise, just a little experience in identification.

Welcome Buck! Congratulations on becoming a TN Moth-er! I look forward to
meeting you, perhaps at a Roan Mtn. rally. I'm sure Larry has already asked
you to join him at the sheets. Wow, that sounds almost as weird as what Hugh
mentioned! Ha! ;) I hope you won't mind answering questions from me and
other "larval stage" moth'ers.

Larry,
I hope I am getting this to you and don't mind it going to others, but
only yesterday I was updating my records on moths from 2011 to fix them like
I wanted, and I looked up Euchlaena Amoenaria which I described as having
what looked like a paint splotch on the tip of the forewing and found your
beautiful photograph of that moth. Congratulations on such good work.

Buck taught me how to dissect genitalia. (Only on this list-serve does that
NOT sound weird.) He's a font of knowledge!

I would like to be the first to welcome a new subscriber to tn-moths.
John Lewis (Buck) has an extensive background in entomology,
primarily with moths. I am hoping he will provide us with some of this
information.
He recently moved to Bristol, TN from Washington DC where he worked
at the Smithsonian in the Entomology Dept.. Today he introduced himself at
the
Steele Creek Park Nature Center where I work. He has already returned
with a wonderful donation of insect drawers to be used for our collection.
He is eager to help out at the park with building the collection.

So, welcome Buck! I hope you enjoy tn-moths.
