Hey guys, Here are the results from the Clifton Bend spring count Saturday. A total of 26 species and a somewhat disappointing 206 individuals were seen including a very surprising 2 YUCCA GIANT-SKIPPERS!!! These were seen in an area that I had always said would be the place if they were ever going to be seen in Decatur County. Unfortunately, they never landed, so no photos, no county record. Total 26 species, 206 individuals. Field Notes: 1Short flight period makes this a difficult species to observe. Would have been a county record for Decatur County, but unfortunately, no photo could be made. Two of the observers are familiar with this species and there was no doubt as to its identity.
