Hi Folks,

Saturday we started the 2017 count season with a gorgeous day and a good number
of butterflies.  The Hairstreaks put on a show, with 76 Junipers being counted,
followed closely with 66 Red-banded.  Even the 6 Henry's is a good number for
this count.  We did have no-shows with Eastern Pine Elfin and Gray Hairstreak.
The Cobweb Skippers were absent once again.  Either the timing is off for this
species, or it may have winked out at Carroll Cabin Barrens.
