Tennessee Birders, I was wondering if some of you might answer a question I have concerning hummers, especially the learned Bob Sargent. Within the last couple of weeks I have had hummers come to trees where I was trying to raise some hidden Passerines by pishing. Was this a coincidence? Was it due to the fact that the numbers of hummers are higher at this time of the year and that they just happened to come by the area, or do hummers sometimes respond to pishing? Has anyone else noticed this behavior? Any input would be appreciated. Enjoy the birds, Roger Mayhorn Grundy, Virginia Buchanan County =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation. ----------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, simply send email to: tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send email to: tn-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Topographical Maps located at http://topozone.com/find.asp * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the Tennessee Ornithological Society web site at http://www.tnbirds.org * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TN-Bird Net Owner: Wallace Coffey, Bristol, TN jwcoffey@xxxxxxxxxx (423) 764-3958 =========================================================
