Tennessee Birders,
I was wondering if some of you might answer a question I have concerning
hummers, especially the learned Bob Sargent. Within the last couple of weeks
I have had hummers come to trees where I was trying to raise some hidden
Passerines by pishing. Was this a coincidence? Was it due to the fact that
the numbers of hummers are higher at this time of the year and that they
just happened to come by the area, or do hummers sometimes respond to
pishing? Has anyone else noticed this behavior?
Any input would be appreciated.

Enjoy the birds,
Roger Mayhorn
