Houston Lane, Chattanooga, Hamilton County, TN
February 16, 2006
A number of postings on TN-Bird, and flags on e-bird,
indicate that Chipping Sparrow is notable in winter in East Tennessee

We can see up to 50 or so Chipping Sparrows almost any winter day
on Houston Lane (about 1/2 mile, about 12 houses), up to 12 - 20 on our feeders.

Roger Patterson has 12 or so many days at his feeder, LaFayette, GA
