They're using Oracle, why would they want SQL in production? ;-)
 
Seriously, MSDE is made to order in this scenario. Only one SQL client 
connection is required so provided the data expiry is set so the database 
doesn't get too huge it'll run fine. 
 
Get MSDEAdmin ($35) to manage it and it'd be perfect. 
 
Then add Jason Conger's web interface for RM.

I have to ask, you can afford to buy PS Enterprise but you don't have a SQL 
Server?  Especially Steelcase of all companies :)
 
It may very well work but it would not be supported.

        yep, summary database on anything...
         
        needs either MS SQL 7 or 2000 (think they might now allowed latest SQL 
release)
        or
        oracle 8i/9i

        If no SQL or ORACLE DB is available then you are SOL on the summary
