I am trying to upgrade my Exchange 5.5 system to 2K now that I have my Win2K AD up and running (thanks to all who helped). I read and re-read the white paper on Exchange 2K installation and followed all the procedure but now, I'm not sure what else I need to do. The 5.5 is an old box so I will leave it as is. I added a E2k box which is also a DC in the AD. It does not contain the GC however since I have the GC in my other W2k box which is also running as a DC and PDC. I followed the E2k procedure of adding ADC (setting up a CA between my Exch 5.5 and AD). I run this CA on the DC which was not the Exch 2k box. I also setup another CA between my Exch 5.5 public folder and AD but this time, this CA is on my Exch 2k box. Then I did the /ForestPrep and /DomainPrep. Everything went well so far. The install of E2K was also uneventful during which I joined the 5.5 site. So now, when I run Exchange System Administrator from my E2K box, I can see all the public folder but when I click on all receipient, I don't see anyone. Am I missing something? When do I delete my 5.5 server? Do I have to do anything before I delete it so that I can be native E2K?
