I've watched a pair raise a family in Carrollton(north Dallas County) for several years now. I know of at least one other one that's been there the last 2 years at least. Interesting thing I've noted in these posts and with the ones I've seen, they were all in artificial/man made nest sites. Has anybody seen one in a natural nest site? They use a very tall power pole, metal, and they can be seen feeding young at the cross bar entrance and on the lines in late June and early July. I know of two pairs that use the poles between Joshua and Alvarado.
