185197 is the part to use, it is NOT the same as the original and has a
different pin configuration than the original. The tip says:
Replace TP15 with stock number 185197.This is a higher rated part than the
original. The terminals on the new part are also ECB (Emitter Collector
Base) instead of EBC (Emitter Base Collector) be sure to install it
properly.

Is this part 185197 the same as the original because if it is whats the
point of putting in a part thats just going to fail again overtime. Does
anyone know what the specs are of TP15? BTW the part I put in was a 2SC2482
and not an ECG399.

Ken's right. I had one once I put a new 399 in about once a
week for 6-7 weeks until somebody told me to get the original.
It never came back after that.
