I am working on a Sharp VL-L30 and almost every single caps have leaked.
Started out the loading motor wouldn't work and two out of the three fuses
were open. still not repaired and waiting for three caps on backorder. One
bi-polar chip cap and two chip of 68uf which I think are probably only
available through Sharp, anyway that is where I ordered them. I didn't count
but I probably replaced over 100 caps. I don't think I will ever touch
another VLL30 after this one and I think the VLL50 is close in similarity.
Check if you have caps under a shield underneath the main PCBoard. The ones
I've had there leaked the worse.
